Stanley Sakai
PartnerStanley P. Sakai has over twenty years of experience working with technology companies as a private equity investor and investment and corporate banker in Asia, Silicon Valley and Boston. Mr. Sakai is currently based in Seoul and as the Managing Director of DEFTA Partners is directing the firm's activities in Asia, except Japan.
Prior to joining DEFTA Partners, Mr. Sakai was Managing Director and head of Japan operations in Tokyo for H&Q Asia Pacific, a private equity firm with $1.8B under management. Mr. Sakai has also served as Managing Director for Technology and Telecom for CIBC World Markets in Tokyo and Singapore. Prior to moving to Asia with CIBC in 1997, Mr. Sakai spent over 12 years with Bank of Boston and CIBC World Markets in Silicon Valley and Boston as a technology banker. Mr. Sakai has a B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, from Reed College and a M.A. from Harvard University.
